Mark is a motivated and experienced senior software testing professional with 30 years experience, who enjoys working within challenging environments and timeframes. He has extensive exposure across the project life-cycle including:
Test consulting & Management
Business analysis and training
Management of team numbering 3-400 staff members

Mark has experience utilising different structured project development techniques including ASAP, Prince 2, PMBoK, SSDM, Macrovision, IBM Full Lifecycle Testing, Method 1, Information Systems Delivery Method, Agile and Object Orientated Analysis philosophies. Certifications include ISTQB and Thomsett Project Management and he has Federal Government Baseline Security clearance.

Over the course of his career, he has accumulated considerable experience within legislatively driven organizations utilizing mainframe, cloud, middleware, and client server technologies with the Australian Federal Government including ATO, Federal Health and CSIRO and State Government Agencies such as Transport for NSW, QLD Health and NSW Roads and Maritime Services. He also has experience in Local Government after assignments with both the Gold Coast and Brisbane City Councils.

Internationally, he has worked in the United Kingdom and Ireland in 2001-’02 gaining exposure to the Retail Banking sector whilst employed by the Bank of Ireland and the Royal Bank of Scotland and in the Finance sector with Tesco Personal Finance. He returned back to the UK in 2005 to take up a role in the Utilities sector with Centrica’s [British Gas] massive NT to XP upgrade project, contracted by the premier UK software test consultancy firm “Cresta” as a Program Test Manager.

He has also successfully completed short consulting assignments in China and Malaysia using his consulting expertise to assist SAP Payroll giants Northgate Arinso to further develop their SAP testing capability, as well as delivering a number of Key-Note speaker engagements.

Mark has experience in the Insurance sector with MBF (now owned by BUPA) as the National User Acceptance Test Manager. In 2007, he moved into SAP at CSIRO and, over the past 15 years, has had successful assignments with Queensland Health, Hydro Tasmania, NSW Dept Roads & Maritime Services and Federal Health.

In 2012, after an award-winning assignment with the Radiology Informatics Program at Queensland Health and delivering the first phase of the Federal e-Health initiative on QLD’s behalf for the Personally Controlled e-Health Record – PCeHR, he moved to the $1.4 billion Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital (LCCH) as the Program Test Manager establishing the testing framework, strategy and full test team there.

In 2014, he moved onto his most challenging SAP role as Test Program Manager for the largest SAP transformation in AsiaPac at Transport for NSW and successfully delivering PPM/PS, HCM, FICO and Procurement modules as part of TfNSW Wave 0.

Mark then worked for largest Council in AsiaPac, at the Brisbane City Council, in 2017 as the Program Test Manager for the digital transformation to the Cloud project and then in 2018 returned to QLD Health as the LIS Program Test Manager, where he delivered the Test Framework for Health Support Queensland and the Program Test Strategy for LIS, including the procurement and implementation of the Tricentis Tosca test automation software.


In his last role before joining Tritusa, Mark worked as the head of Automation and Innovation for Virtech developing best practice approaches for clients who require Intelligent Automation. He joined Tritusa because their business focus was on non-functional software testing and AI which are of particular interest to him personally and professionally. He has also been a feature writer for the Australian Testing Magazine and written blogs and posts for the LinkedIn platform.
